Case description
The Nambour account was reported in 1974 as a childhood memory from March or April 1932 or 1933. The witness, then about eight or nine, described playing near a creek and swampy pools on his family’s Queensland farm. Bill Chalker reproduces the retrospective account; the original letter appeared in Contact 53. The catalogue year is approximate.
Parting tall grass, the boy reportedly saw a silver-grey object about twelve inches across, shaped like opposed saucers, hovering three inches above water roughly four feet away. A low hum intensified as white mist appeared nearby. He described slight water ripples, head pressure and feeling stunned, then stepped back. His letter expressly says he never touched the object. Another child later mentioned something flying between trees; he did not see that departure. He associated white hand blisters that evening with the incident.
No occupant was described, and the claimed symptoms have no recovered contemporary medical record. Later claims that he grabbed the object contradict the reproduced letter. The plate shows the boy, complete miniature object and nearby children, with no invented beings. Clothing, landscape and mist appearance are illustrative. Its inherited entity classification should not imply that aliens were seen.
