Case description
Mike Pisula reportedly experienced a long interruption of memory while driving with Fred Cooper through the mountains west of Flagstaff, Arizona, in January 1946. The imported date is January 19, but the fuller humanoid catalogue gives only the month. It describes cold, fog, a slippery road, and very limited headlight visibility.
Pisula later said that his recollection stopped until the following morning and included a disturbing impression of seeing the car from outside himself. Under hypnosis approximately thirty-two years later, he described the car stopped before a broad, hat-shaped object and three luminous figures gliding toward it. Those later details are a distinct stage of the account.
The catalogue names James Harder and Douwe Bosga in the investigation trail. It does not provide independent observation of the missing interval or establish a physical mechanism for the perceived levitation. The plate illustrates the foggy road encounter as subsequently described, rather than a contemporaneous photograph or a fully documented ten-hour journey.
