Case description
An oil-company employee identified only by the initials C. A. V. said he was driving toward Lima, Peru, when he noticed a shiny disc on the ground near Pucusana. This parallel catalogue places the event in 1948. Jacques Vallée’s Magonia chronology instead lists February 1949 at 4:30 p.m., identifying the witness as thirty.
The witness left the road and walked toward the object for approximately ten minutes. When he was about twenty metres away, three figures emerged. He compared their appearance to mummies, describing a towel-like skin or covering. Their legs appeared joined into a single broad foot, and they moved by sliding along the ground.
The figures asked where they were. A lengthy conversation followed, although the surviving source does not preserve its full content or explain how the parties understood one another. The witness then said they took him on a trip inside their craft.
The brief account supplies no route, destination, duration or detailed return. The journey aboard is part of C. A. V.'s reported experience, but it cannot be expanded into particular places or procedures absent from the surviving narrative.
