Case description
The witness called Philip Osborne in the abduction literature recalled a frightening childhood incident during a family visit to the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee. Thomas Bullard's catalogue places him at approximately six or seven years old in the summer of 1949 or 1950. July 31, 1949, in the imported date field is more precise than that source account supports.
His initial recollection concerned a nighttime return to a parking area to retrieve his brother's coat. Later hypnosis produced fragmented descriptions of a metallic object with a luminous, faceted dome, landing supports, an opening, and movement into an enclosed space. Additional recollections concerned a scanning device and a procedure associated with a scar.
Bullard identifies investigators Ted Bloecher and Budd Hopkins and hypnosis conducted by Aphrodite Clamar in 1979–1980. These later sessions are separated by decades from the childhood setting. The plate illustrates the reported parking-area phase without treating the subsequent recollections as a contemporary record.
