Rio De Janiero entity encounter — 1949-12-04

Mário Restier reportedly encountered a landed object near Volta Redonda, Brazil, on December 4, 1949, while returning from his father's property. The imported summary gives 5 a.m.; the fuller SBEDV account reproduced by Revista UFO instead gives 5 p.m. Both describe a roadside object and two approximately human-height occupants. Restier said that the figures invited him inside and that he experienced a journey to an unfamiliar world. His account includes immersion in liquid during part of the trip and a much shorter perceived absence than the interval he believed had passed at home. It gives April 14, 1950, as his return date, approximately four months after departure. The story became public years later, and retellings differ over its duration and journey details. The separate April 1950 Atlas listing may be an alias based on that return date, not a second event. The plate represents the roadside encounter without treating the claimed destination or altered passage of time as independently established.
