Case description

An authentic FBI memorandum dated 31 March 1950 records a chain of claims about a supposed flying-disc recovery in the Mojave Desert. Its existence verifies that the story reached the Bureau, not that a recovery occurred. The memo describes information passing through an agent's brother, an advertising contact, a Denver intermediary and an oilman associated with the story. It is not an eyewitness field report by FBI personnel. The alleged disc was said to have been found intact on leased land with eighteen occupants about three feet tall, humanlike in appearance and dead but unburned. The story included unusually hard metal and a supposed radio souvenir. Crucially, the memo says the tale had already been circulating for several months before January 1950; the imported 1 January date is not a verified crash date. No authenticated wreckage or occupants are supplied by the document. Later research connects this reporting environment with the saucer stories of Silas Newton and related promoters. A purported alien-body photograph attached to some retellings has been traced to a wax representation of a human murder victim, not an occupant recovered in the Mojave. The recovered sources therefore support a disputed recovery story and a genuine hearsay memo, not an alien crash, abduction or Bureau confirmation. The plate uses an explicitly labelled document/story composite with representative figures, rather than presenting invented recovery personnel as historical witnesses.

The older film repeats a recovery and body-photo claim more strongly than the evidence permits. The dossier identifies the purported body image as a wax figure and treats the FBI memo as hearsay.
