Case description
The Salamanca entry concerns an unnamed observer who reportedly saw an elliptical object above the Spanish city on April 17, 1950. Luis R. González Manso's FirstHumCat catalogue attributes the information to Juan C. Victorio Uranga and to an El Adelanto article dated April 23. The contemporary newspaper itself was not recovered in this review, so this attribution is retained as a source lead rather than presented as a newly inspected clipping.
The earlier catalogue wording places the observation at dawn and says the witness noticed silhouettes resembling people around the object. A later Rosales version instead gives midnight and describes several humanlike figures moving behind a transparent section of a hovering disc. Those are meaningful differences in timing and viewpoint: figures around an object are not automatically the same as clearly identified occupants behind windows.
The accessible accounts provide no name, street position, measured distance, occupant count, clothing description or facial anatomy. They also do not describe a landing, conversation, collected material or departure sequence. The case therefore remains thinly documented rather than a basis for detailed alien portraits. The plate explicitly selects the later transparent-section interpretation, leaves the figures indistinct, and treats the town vantage and craft construction as contextual. No independent photograph or exact-case video was verified.
