Abbiate Guazzone entity encounter — 1950-04-24

On the night of 24 April 1950, Bruno Facchini said flickering light drew him from his home at Abbiate Guazzone near Varese, Italy. He initially considered an electrical fault or storm-related cause, then approached what he described as a large oblate vehicle near a power line. HUMCAT’s fuller account estimates it at ten metres across and six high, with steps to the ground, a striped or chequered surface and grouped exterior pipes. Three or four figures of ordinary human height moved slowly around it, one apparently welding a pipe. Facchini described heavy, close-fitting diving-type outfits with helmets, faceplates and breathing-related tubing or fittings. The accounts vary over how clearly the pale faces were visible. He said he offered assistance, received gestures and guttural sounds, then became frightened and tried to leave. A figure allegedly pointed a camera-like device that emitted a force which knocked him down. He reported watching the repair finish before the steps retracted and the machine rose with a loud droning sound. Later discomfort is part of his account, not a recovered independent medical finding. He said he returned the next day and found four circular marks, damaged or scorched grass and small metal pieces. The recorded analyses identified a copper-tin-lead bronze compatible with ordinary antifriction material; a quoted 1953 report suggested worn bearing material. Those fragments are not evidence of an unknown element or verified extraterrestrial construction, and their causal connection to the claimed vehicle was not independently demonstrated. The plate depicts the earlier repair-and-approach phase, preserving the clothed figures and entire craft without inventing exposed alien anatomy or showing an unsupported medical procedure.
