Case description

One evening in May 1950, Víctor Manuel Gómez Rodríguez—better known through his later spiritual writings as Samael Aun Weor—said he was sightseeing in the forest of Desierto de los Leones outside Mexico City when he noticed an unfamiliar object descending toward a clearing. He moved closer rather than retreating. The object appeared spherical but somewhat flattened across the top. It settled on three tripod-like landing legs. A hatch opened, and a thin man of medium height descended a short metallic ladder carrying an unidentified object in his right hand. Gómez described him as bronze-skinned, blue-eyed and broad-foreheaded. Several similar-looking men and women followed. Gómez greeted the group in Spanish. According to his account, they answered in fluent Spanish and told him they knew every language spoken on Earth. The visitors were described as human-looking rather than as the large-headed figures common to later popular imagery. Excited by the possibility of travel beyond Earth, Gómez grasped one of the craft's landing legs and asked the apparent leader to take him to Mars. The leader expressed surprise at the choice, reportedly asking why he would select somewhere so close. The visitors then gathered for a discussion, sitting on dead tree trunks in the clearing while Gómez continued to ask to visit other civilizations. One of the women stood and offered a parable. If a fragrant plant were placed beside one without fragrance, she said, the second plant would eventually absorb the first plant's scent. She compared this to worlds that had once followed a destructive path but gradually changed through the beneficial influence of other worlds. Earth, she said, seemed not to respond in the same way, and she asked what was happening here. Gómez answered that Earth was a mistake of the gods. The group reportedly bowed their heads. As the visitors prepared to leave, he repeated his request to accompany them. The leader declined indirectly, telling him, in the published English rendering, that they would watch him along the way. Gómez interpreted this as meaning that he was not yet ready. The group climbed the ladder and re-entered the craft. Gómez watched it rotate on its axis, rise slowly above the clearing and then accelerate away at tremendous speed. The narrative describes a conversation beside a landed craft; it does not describe Gómez entering the object, being examined or losing time. The accessible account is attributed to Gómez himself through AGEACAC and later contactee literature. No contemporary May 1950 police report, newspaper item, independent witness statement or physical trace was identified in this pass. Gómez was an esoteric teacher whose publications framed claimed encounters within a larger spiritual system. That does not by itself resolve the claim, but it makes explicit attribution and historical context essential. The conversation and quoted lines survive through translation and retelling. The Atlas retains them as words attributed to the witness, not as independently recorded dialogue. The craft, visitors and departure likewise remain one person's retrospective report. CE3 reflects the reported close encounter and conversation with occupants outside a landed object. The portrait centers the council on fallen logs, the female speaker, Gómez and the tripod craft. It is an illustrative reconstruction of the published account, not documentary evidence.
