Case description

The Águilas story is a retrospective contact claim associated with a cinema projectionist called Mendoza. TSEYOR's Los Guías Estelares recounts a discussion dated 2 September 1989 in which he described an experience in August 1950, approximately thirty-nine years earlier. The source does not establish an exact August day, so the imported month-end date should not be read as a confirmed observation date. Mendoza said he was working at an open-air cinema, handling film reels and maintaining a carbon-arc projection lamp, when a large quiet sphere appeared above him. He described hearing instructions mentally and writing a message. The primary retelling specifies carbon rods used to write on the blank backs of cinema posters; later summaries' references to carbon paper or chalk obscure that practical detail. The communication was attributed to an intelligence called Herión, said to originate from Alpha Centauri. The ensuing spiritual and cosmological message is the claimant's interpretation, not independently established astronomy or evidence of its asserted origin. No visible occupant is described: the reported sphere and mental voice do not justify adding a humanoid Herión to the plate. No contemporary 1950 document or independently authenticated message was recovered here. The illustration therefore shows the projectionist, period equipment, poster backs and luminous sphere, explicitly labelled as a retrospective contact claim.
