Case description

The Nacaome entry belongs to the southern Honduran oral tradition of the Comelenguas, or tongue-eater. Later retellings place the beginning of the story around 1950 and describe farmers seeing an enormous birdlike creature flying low over rural properties. The surviving catalogue names no individual witness, exact day or hour. A year-level tradition should not be converted into a dated, independently investigated UFO landing. In the narrative, cattle were subsequently found dead under unusual circumstances. One version says a farmer saw the creature use a powerful, snake-like tail to overpower a bull. Other versions emphasise cattle missing their tongues and vary over the presence of further injuries. These are elements of the reported legend; no veterinary examination or preserved physical evidence accompanies the supplied entry. Regional accounts credit an oral-literature collection associated with Karen Ramos and Melissa Valenzuela, while modern tellings explicitly identify the story as folklore. Connections to extraterrestrials or later livestock-mutilation traditions are interpretations, not observations of a spacecraft. The plate consequently shows local farmworkers, healthy cattle and a giant birdlike silhouette with a long tail, without inventing a vehicle or depicting an attack.
