Case description
The Jacksonville account concerns a woman later identified as Evelyn and her older sister, who allegedly encountered an object outside their apartment in 1950. The recovered discussion appeared decades later, in a 2008 article associated with Dirk Vander Ploeg, and describes memories revisited under hypnosis in 2003. It is therefore a late recovered-memory narrative, rather than a contemporary 1950 case file.
The sisters reportedly noticed a dark circular area in the night sky and then a silver-grey object near the apartments, smaller than a bus, with a broad shallow dome and no visible windows or lights. An opening on its left side was likened to an awning. After the women retreated indoors, Evelyn recalled three short, bald, pale-grey figures in close-fitting suits, positioned at different entrances and within the living room. Their profiles appeared flattened and their dark eyes goggle-like. She attributed a message about a future encounter and forgetting the present one to mental communication.
The account's hypnotic recovery and very long reporting interval limit what can be concluded; hypnosis does not independently corroborate a memory. Other episodes attributed to Evelyn in different years should not be folded into this apartment encounter. The plate clearly labels a phase and viewpoint composite so the two women, three described figures and whole courtyard object can appear together without implying a documented simultaneous photograph.
