A later account attributed to Ohio UFO Notebook number 12 places this episode near Columbus in September 1950 at about 03:00. Prison guards, including Roy Beck, reportedly watched a large luminous disc glide silently just above the compound walls. The object’s central section appeared to rotate, and antenna-like projections were said to extend from the top. At one point the object allegedly became partly translucent, allowing the guards to distinguish several manlike figures moving inside.
