Case description
Joseph or Josef Matiszewski claimed a 1951 encounter beside his Sønderborg home. In the familiar Magonia version, dated June 19 around noon, the mechanic heard a whistle and approached a landed object in a meadow. At about fifty metres he felt unable to move, while nearby cattle seemed motionless and birds fell silent.
Four brown-skinned, human-looking men reportedly emerged in shining black suits and transparent helmets. Other crew appeared to work on the vehicle, and eight small circular objects hovered above it. The craft and smaller objects eventually departed; he then said normal movement returned. A separate claimed May 18,1954 encounter introduced visitors from a planet called Zutorn. That later contactee material is not independent corroboration of the first scene.
Willy Wegner traces a different version to Ufo-nyt in December 1958: July 19,1951 at 2:30 a.m., tall men in dark-blue suits, masks and back cylinders. His reproduced photograph shows the witness holding a tiered saucer model, used cautiously for the plate's outline. The date, time and clothing conflicts remain unresolved. Gross regards the story as a probable contactee tale; this is an assessment, not a recovered confession or a verified extraterrestrial event.
