Castlefranco entity encounter — 1952-11-16

Nello Ferrari's Castelfranco Emilia account is generally placed on a November morning in 1952. The Italian case review gives November 16 at about 9:30 a.m.; Vallée-derived catalogues often give November 18. Ferrari's age is likewise reported as 40 or 41. The distinction matters because November 18 is also the date of a cited contemporary newspaper report. The plate therefore uses month-and-year precision. Ferrari reportedly noticed reddish or copper-coloured illumination near his stable and looked up at a large circular apparatus roughly ten metres overhead. Descriptions give two separated plate-like sections, rapidly turning central cylindrical parts and a humming sound comparable to an electric motor. The catalogue estimate of overall width is twenty metres, with a central cylinder about five metres across. Three ordinary human-looking occupants were said to wear rubberlike coveralls and transparent masks. Accounts differ over whether they appeared in a turret or along the lower plate's edge. Unintelligible speech was followed by a metallic sound, increased noise and rapid vertical departure. The Italian review stresses that the surviving foundation consists of press accounts. Renzo Cabassi's 1969 inquiry occurred after Ferrari's death, limiting direct checking of the original testimony. The craft dimensions and conversation remain reported details, without recovered hardware or an identified aircraft.
