Case description

José Parra's account is associated with the December 1954 Venezuelan wave and the Valencia–Caracas road. He was described as an eighteen-year-old jockey running to lose weight. Sources commonly assign December 19, but early-morning reporting and later 11 p.m. catalogue wording leave the precise night uncertain. A report to the National Security office is described in the UFO literature; the original office statement was not recovered here. Parra allegedly saw six small figures moving rocks from beside the road into a disc hovering low above the ground. When he tried to leave, one reportedly directed a small device toward him, producing violet light and an inability to move. The figures returned aboard and the object departed. Earlier summaries call them small men without detailed anatomy; later Rosales and Dennett versions describe them as hairy. Those later details are identified as a version choice rather than silently inserted into an original statement. Other people reportedly saw a disc near the Bárbula sanatorium during the night, and later accounts mention unidentified footprints at Parra's location. Neither establishes that those observers saw his beings or that the marks came from a craft. The plate selects the later hairy-figure version during the rock-collecting phase before the alleged beam. A verified Dennett video contains Parra's exact case within a wider discussion of the Venezuelan wave; its narrative presentation is not contemporary encounter footage.

The Venezuelan UFO Wave of 1954: Invasion of the Hairy Humanoids

Watch video · Preston Dennett

Film usesDecember19 around11p.m. and the later hairy-figure version. Current sources preserve early-morning/11p.m. uncertainty and do not consistently support detailed anatomy. NearbyBárbula observations are separate sightings, not independent witnesses toParra’s figures or beam.
