Case description
A 1954 Tehran story describes a man variously named Ghasim Faili, Chasim Faili or Ghaseme Fili confronting an unusual object near his home. The dates and setting changed in later literature. Jimmy Guieu reproduced an attributed October 13 newspaper item about the previous morning, whereas Vallée's catalogue and several successors placed the event on October 8 at 2:30 a.m. The Atlas plate therefore uses October 1954 rather than choosing an unsupported exact day.
In the later balcony version, the witness stood on the second floor of his Amireah Street home with both hands on the railing. A luminous white object reportedly hovered approximately twenty metres away. Inside was a small man dressed in black and wearing a mask with a trunk-like projection. Fili said he felt pulled toward the object as though by a magnet, cried out and saw it depart vertically with sparks. The earlier press-derived version instead describes a street landing and neighbours gathering after his cries.
Guieu acknowledged that he had obtained neither confirmation nor denial of the item. The available source chain does not provide an independent investigation or measurements of a magnetic force. A claimed pulling sensation is not evidence that the witness was physically levitated or taken aboard. The plate retains the mask as equipment, avoids inventing elephant anatomy, and identifies the image as a reconstruction of one disputed version.
