Case description
An anonymous account signed Raymond R. describes a purported encounter near La Roche-en-Brénil on 5 November 1954 around 10:10. The writer and a thirteen-year-old apprentice, Michel, allegedly approached a grey, domed craft near woods. A roughly 1.5-metre figure moved nearby, wearing dark clothing beneath a transparent plastic-like suit, a shoulder-resting helmet and a shiny black chest box.
The writer claimed to take seven photographs, four of them clear. After the first figure returned inside, two others emerged: one carried a funnel-ended, weapon-like object and the other a white ball. Blue luminous mist appeared. Michel allegedly fled, a green light or beam swept his route, and he briefly experienced weakness or paralysis and facial prickling. The craft then departed. These successive phases differ from the catalogue’s compressed picture of three men together.
The letter also claimed unusual residues, a later evening return and retained photographic evidence. None of those alleged exhibits became available for independent verification in the reviewed source history. Later investigators and catalogues questioned the story, noting anonymity, chronology problems and a sketch resembling Adamski imagery. Its illustrations are therefore labelled disputed and composite; neither the photographs nor the chemical claims are presented as established physical evidence.
