Case description

The inherited February 1955 entry contains only a reference to a Holloman base visit by Eisenhower. It supplies no originating publication, named eyewitness, time, craft description, beings or encounter sequence. The stored first-of-month date is an import convention, not evidence that an event occurred on 1 February. There is consequently no support here for constructing a meeting, arrival or exchange with occupants. The Eisenhower Presidential Library’s UFO subject guide identifies later correspondence concerning flying-saucer stories. Its listings include a denial by Schulz that Eisenhower had contact with UFOs or extraterrestrial beings, a claim about Edwards Air Force Base, and correspondence about rumours surrounding the 1954 Palm Springs holiday. The guide is a finding aid to records about those claims; it does not authenticate a February 1955 Holloman encounter. Those Edwards and Palm Springs stories must remain distinct from this sparse Holloman seed. Until an originating account and chain of testimony are attached, the row records an unverified allegation rather than a reconstructable close encounter. The linked modern podcast retells the allegation and supplies no official authentication. Its plate uses Eisenhower’s portrait and clearly labelled research materials, with no invented visit, spacecraft, extraterrestrials or agreement.
