Casa Blanca entity encounter — 1955

The Casa Blanca story concerns children playing near the Douglas home in the Riverside area of California in August 1955. Many retellings give August 22 at about 2 p.m., while the HUMCAT listing uses August 29 and 15:10. Witness numbers, ages and the order of events also vary. Kermit Douglas is named in later accounts, but the surviving summaries do not provide a stable set of separately documented statements. In Vallée's version, a hovering object disappeared and returned as a rotating disc, followed by additional silvery or semitransparent objects accompanied by musical sounds. One reportedly came down nearby. A transparent child-sized figure with a bright disc at its belt and another speaking figure were described, along with beckoning arms. Other retellings instead give strikingly different facial features and limbs, and add tree-climbing, floating or rooftop episodes. These variants cannot responsibly be assembled into one anatomical description or continuous scene. Coral Lorenzen noted contradictory information and inadequate original investigation; the account was circulating in Saucer News by late 1955. One retelling says parents looked but saw nothing. Those limitations prevent treating the story as independently corroborated by the adults or by every child. The plate selects the transparent-figure version and omits hazardous rooftop episodes. A verified modern YouTube treatment discusses this exact case, but its dramatic framing and expanded witness-count claims do not establish those details as historical fact.
