Case description
The Cabo Frio narrative is attributed to O. Guarichi and dated only to September 1956. Vallée’s landing catalogue and NICAP’s chronology repeat an evening beach encounter, citing the March 1961 Nachrichten publication. That underlying original article was not recovered. The commonly repeated 8:30 p.m. time contrasts with a separate 10:30 p.m. listing, and no exact day is established.
Guarichi reportedly walked with his dogs when an object came from the sea and settled on the beach. Two men of ordinary appearance, estimated at 1.8 metres tall, emerged wearing metallic-looking uniforms. One picked up unspecified beach material. The witness exchanged gestures with them, while one dog turned away as he approached. The object was described as roughly twenty metres wide and three metres high, with flashing lights during departure.
The available catalogue supplies no authenticated sample, photograph, named additional witness or secure investigation result. It does not describe a detailed alien face or prove an extraterrestrial identity. The plate includes Guarichi, two representative dogs, both humanlike figures and the complete broad craft before departure. Dog count, clothing construction, craft profile and precise beach layout are illustrative; the object is not merged with other Brazilian sea-emergence stories.
