Southwest of Libya radar-visual light encounter — January 4 1958

At 12:08 a.m. GMT on January 4, 1958, a military aircraft was flying southwest of Libya when its pilot and navigator saw a bright orange light streak across the sky on a northeast heading. The aircraft also obtained an airborne radar track of the target. The chronology entry does not preserve the duration, range, subsequent maneuvering, or manner of disappearance.
