Case description
The short chronology entry for Aston, Great Britain, on 7 January 1958 says that two figures appeared again to Mrs Appleton and spoke English. The word again connects it to Cynthia Appleton’s earlier reported encounter in Birmingham on 18 November 1957, rather than an isolated sighting or a separate witness. The January summary records no physical spacecraft.
A fuller account attributed to Charles Bowen’s The Humanoids places the second visit in the afternoon. Appleton reportedly heard carefully articulated English with a foreign-sounding delivery. One figure had shoulder-length hair; the apparently senior companion had shorter hair curled around his ears. They allegedly said that they were projections, that she should avoid touching them, and that her mind was particularly suited to receiving their appearances. This elaborates the English conversation without turning the asserted explanation into an established fact.
Descriptions of a fair-haired man in a metallic-looking suit derive from the wider encounter sequence. Claims about a home planet, a burned hand, a black car and later family events belong to other visits and should not be silently dated to 7 January. The surviving material is contactee testimony preserved in later catalogues, without independent confirmation of the visitors or their claimed method of appearance.
