Case description
The compressed Croydon record combines an object sighting on 8 November 1954 with an alleged encounter the following day. A boy reportedly saw a small saucer; three small humanoids were later associated with a claimed recovery from illness and subsequent psychic abilities. The abstract does not explain what the figures did, identify a medical diagnosis or describe removal from the location.
A related account attributed to Janet and Colin Bord identifies thirteen-year-old Philip Molava at an orphanage in Shirley, Croydon. It places him tending rabbits around two in the morning on 7 November, when a white, dinner-plate-sized double-disc floated past. He reportedly tried unsuccessfully to touch it and became ill or paralysed afterward. Another physiological-effects catalogue dates the sighting to 8 November and describes hospitalisation for stomach sickness. Those differences remain unresolved.
Hatch cites Jenny Randles’s British abduction literature and preserves several interpretive codes, including a hoax flag. A code alone does not supply a documented confession or prove a cure. The available summaries likewise provide no detailed faces for the three claimed figures and no independent demonstration of psychic effects. The plate is clearly labelled as a composite of separate claims, keeps the child safe and fully clothed, and depicts neither medical treatment nor a verified recovery.
