Bergamo, ITL being encounter — December 29, 1954

A short Bergamo entry places a cigar-shaped object at about twenty-five metres altitude shortly after midnight on December 29, 1954. It says figures were visible in a transparent compartment and cites Lumières dans la Nuit 326 through a later catalogue. The retrieved entry gives no securely identified observer, exact street or independent interviews. A contemporary AFP item in Le Provençal of December 31 describes a closely corresponding report from a peasant of Clusone, in Bergamo province. It specifies a spindle covered with transparent material, flying no higher than twenty-five metres, and two helmeted heads in its cockpit. This newspaper version anchors the basic claim to the 1954 press, but does not independently establish the later five-minutes-after-midnight time or prove every catalogue entry concerns a distinct event. Nearby Sommaprada stories carry different times, dimensions and mechanical details. Their low hovering craft, propellers and bell-ringer narrative should not be silently inserted into this sparse Bergamo record. The plate uses a representative rural observer and an airborne elongated form with two faint helmeted heads, labelled as the contemporary press variant. Its cockpit arrangement and scenery remain illustrative, and no authenticated photograph or recovered material establishes the reported occupants.
