Abattu three-disc all-night observation — April 1 1958

At about 7:25 p.m. on April 1, 1958, several witnesses in the Abattu area of Brazil saw three discs hovering in the sky. Railroad employee Mr. Cavalheiro and station chief J. Machado notified the Tupancireta police, and the observers continued watching through the night. The objects descended to near ground level about one kilometer away and at times appeared to exchange signals with one another. One disc later flew over the station itself, leaving a luminous trail and producing considerable heat. The chronology does not preserve the final manner of departure.
