Case description
At about 7:25–7:30 p.m. on 4 February 1955, Mme Porta was travelling from Céret toward Le Boulou on a Mobylette moped after work. Beside the D 115, among the vineyards, she noticed four green-blue rectangular lights with rounded corners. They were arranged horizontally in an arc, approximately a metre and a half above the ground. The account describes these lights, but no solid vehicle body surrounding them.
Approximately fifty metres farther along the road, she saw two tall men standing motionless in a ditch. Their faces, clothing and physical features were not described sufficiently to identify them as nonhuman. There was no reported conversation, pursuit or boarding. The sequence places unusual lights and men along the same journey, without establishing that the men controlled or emerged from a craft.
Patrick Gross’s source review traces the account through Michel Figuet’s catalogue and notes that it was treated as doubtful. A cited LDLN article concerns another Porta observation in August 1956, involving motorcyclists, and must not be folded into this event. The plate combines the successive roadside observations with a visible sequence label and leaves the supposed vehicle hull undefined.
