Case description
The imported Montornès–La Roca record lacks a usable date. Fuller catalogue accounts place the event in March 1955 and identify the main witness as forty-one-year-old architect Pedro Corella. At about 4 p.m., his car reportedly developed trouble while he was driving between the two localities, prompting him to stop and lift the bonnet.
From the roadside he saw an unusual metallic-grey object in cultivated land near the Mogent river and an electrical installation. It was approximately two hundred and fifty metres away, below the level of the road. One account describes a hemisphere surrounded by a ring; another compares it with a gyroscope. Two short humanlike figures were associated with its upper section, described as inside in one version and atop it in another.
The object reportedly rose silently at an angle of about forty-five degrees and disappeared. A shepherd or farmer was said to have observed it more closely. Later investigators reportedly found lightly scorched vegetation and tripod-like marks, but the accessible source comparison lacks the original investigation report. Exact faces, clothing and craft dimensions are consequently unknown, and the illustrated figures remain distant.
