Case description
A woman walking along a lane in Rivoli, near Turin, reportedly turned a corner and encountered a metallic disc on the ground during the spring of 1955. The fuller catalogue narrative places a large window-like opening at the front of the object. Through it she could see three men. One had long black hair and reminded her of conventional depictions of Jesus; the other two were blond.
The men made friendly gestures toward the woman. The object subsequently took off at high speed. This is the extent of the recoverable sequence in Patrick Gross’s comparison of ITACAT-derived sources. It supplies no conversation, measured dimensions or detailed clothing description, and the resemblance attributed to one occupant is a witness interpretation rather than an identification of a religious figure.
The Atlas synopsis differs in material ways, placing three figures outside the craft, assigning an evening time and mentioning a warning. The fuller account instead describes an afternoon observation of men inside, with gestures rather than a recorded warning. Those variants should remain visible rather than being merged into a single elaborate encounter. The plate follows the window version and ordinary human appearance, with no invented message, religious halo or unsupported alien anatomy. The report’s unknown original documentation limits what can be concluded.
