Case description
Jacques Cresson’s 1970 report relates an encounter recalled by Mr Droguet, a college employee in Dinan, from a night in May 1955. After a cinema visit he returned to the college after midnight. Although catalogued under May 14, the described evening-to-morning sequence leaves the midnight date boundary uncertain.
Opening a metal gate, Droguet said he encountered a brilliant blue-green light, vibration, and a motionless object hovering about a metre and a half above the ground. Two figures approximately 1.6 metres tall wore bulky, segmented grey outfits, opaque helmets and gloves. Dark boxes around their abdomens had connecting leads. One examined gravel or stones; the other approached a boiler-room window.
Droguet could not move, but was unsure whether fear or the light caused this. He sensed another presence inside the craft without actually seeing a third occupant. The two visible figures returned beneath it; he heard metallic footsteps, saw the ladder retract, and described a suction-like noise before it rose above the trees.
When the light disappeared he hurried home. He said he told his wife and several acquaintances, but the account reached publication fifteen years afterward. The report describes a remembered exterior observation, without hypnosis or a claimed taking aboard.
