Case description
The Bogotá entry is a very short creature report assigned to May 2, 1958. Jacques Vallée’s Passport to Magonia cites Luis Bulgarini’s 1962 book I Dischi Volanti. Later catalogues repeat substantially the same outline. The original witness statements and a contemporary Colombian news report were not recovered, so the apparent eight-person observation should not be treated as eight independently documented interviews.
The story says eight people working in woodland saw one green creature with scaly skin and unusually long arms. Long fingers and pointed nails nearly reached the ground. It supplies no dependable height, clothing, conversation, behaviour, duration or method of departure. A later catalogue table adds head and eye details not supported by the brief cited narrative; the plate therefore keeps those features indistinct.
No UFO, arrival or departure in a vehicle is described, despite the report’s placement in a catalogue of landings. The illustration includes eight representative workers and a distant green, long-armed form, with no spacecraft. Their faces, arrangement and woodland setting are approximate. The limited source establishes the existence of a repeated story, not a verified species, extraterrestrial visitor or physical sample.
