Case description
A short retrospective report places a shepherd named Frigoul near Boisseuges, Haute-Loire, at about six in the evening on September 16, 1955. He allegedly saw a dark mass descending with a whistling noise. A strong gust knocked him over. Once down, the object appeared circular, approximately three and a half metres across and two metres high, with illumination compared to neon lighting.
The account describes an opening, a stair or steps, and two occupants who came out and gathered plants. One reportedly had a bald head, a reddish face and very fine teeth. Those are the distinctive anatomical details actually supplied; the source does not support a comprehensive description of clothing, skin texture or an established alien type. The craft subsequently took off. Retellings disagree over whether it left toward the northwest or northeast.
The documented trail leads through later catalogues rather than a located contemporary interview, photograph or newspaper report. Patrick Gross’s source comparison notes the absence of a traced investigation and the story’s appearance in late-1960s compilations. The report is therefore a sparse alleged landing with occupants, not an independently demonstrated sampling operation. The plate includes the shepherd, described face and craft while leaving unrecorded details explicitly interpretive.
