Minduri witnesses see two six-meter red-clad giants — August 1958

Three witnesses near Minduri, Minas Gerais, reportedly saw two exceptionally tall humanlike figures walking uphill shortly after dawn in August 1958. The abbreviated account estimated both figures at approximately six metres tall and described brilliant red clothing. They were moving away from the observers, who saw their backs rather than their faces. Gordon Creighton included the incident in the 1966 Flying Saucer Review special issue The Humanoids, citing the Brazilian SBEDV bulletin. The later HUMCAT index also lists three witnesses and two roughly nineteen-foot figures. Neither brief account supplies the witnesses’ names, viewing distance, duration, facial features, or a description of how the observation ended. The height remains a reported estimate without a surviving measurement method in these summaries. Later retellings differ: some assign 23 August or 09:00, give the figures unequal heights, or connect a luminous object with the episode. Those additions are not part of the short dawn account preserved here. No craft was described in that account, and no boarding, conversation, pursuit or physical trace is established by it.
