Case description
Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos’s 1976 catalogue records an incident at Granja de Torrehermosa in August 1956, reported retrospectively through Claude Navarro. About twenty small boys were playing football east of the village when a very loud, jet-like noise drew their attention to an aluminium-coloured, bullet-shaped object approaching from the northwest. It slowed and reportedly hovered about three metres above a field roughly 500 metres east of them.
The object was estimated at four metres long and one metre high, with an aircraft-like transparent cockpit at its narrow end. The account describes two greenish occupants visible from the shoulders upward. The youngest named witness, identified only as C. S. and aged five, thought each had an antenna on its head. The children, joined by roughly ten adults, mostly women, approached and waved. The occupants allegedly waved back. When the group came within about fifty metres and gestured for a landing, the object accelerated eastward and disappeared.
No trace was reported. The account reached print many years after the alleged event, limiting checks on exact dimensions and recollections. Counts differ between retellings: some give fifteen boys, while the imported entry gives three occupants. The earlier detailed catalogue describes two. The reconstruction follows that account and keeps the occupants’ otherwise undocumented facial features indistinct.
