Case description

A Giaveno-area hunter’s alleged encounter on Colle Braida survives with a significant date disagreement. The Atlas import gives November 8, 1957; an Italian research chronology gives August 11, 1957, at 9 a.m. It cites CISAER’s 1958 bulletin, Stampa Sera in April 1960, and investigations associated with Arduino Albertini and Paolo Fiorino. According to that chronology, the hunter was with his dog when a descending whistle reminded him of wartime bombs. He dropped to the ground and reportedly saw two disc-shaped objects land nearby. Two humanlike figures emerged and moved around them, which he interpreted as possible repairs, then returned aboard before departure. The actual purpose of their movements was not established. The story was reportedly conveyed by telephone, but the caller was never subsequently traced. Claims of scorched vegetation and a dead dog belong to this incomplete reporting chain; the alleged warning about radioactivity is not a verified measurement. The illustration shows the hunter and living dog during the encounter, two indistinct humanlike figures and two discs, without presenting the later animal-death claim graphically. Date, witness identity and trace provenance remain unresolved.
