Case description
Farmers João Ernani and Pedro Zilli reportedly saw several objects near Maracajá, Santa Catarina, Brazil, on November 18,1957. Gordon Creighton’s published account gives about 10:30 a.m.; the Lorenzens’ version uses 10 a.m. Both describe a daylight observation from approximately two hundred metres rather than a close face-to-face meeting.
After hearing a buzzing sound, the men said they saw two aluminum-colored discs hovering about a metre above the ground. Six slender, ordinary-sized figures in close-fitting dark-grey outfits were returning toward them. The discs reportedly rose with a sharp whistle, bending nearby palms; three additional discs appeared from behind trees, and all five headed toward the Atlantic. No dialogue or detailed facial features are supplied in the recovered summaries.
Creighton cited CICOANI’s Aleixo Húlvio Brant, Brazilian newspaper reports and earlier ufological publications, but the underlying interviews and original investigation have not been independently recovered here. Aircraft or another ordinary interpretation remain possible without a demonstrated resolution. The plate combines the two representative farmers, six distant humanlike figures, two low discs and three further craft as a sequence composite. It does not add grey-alien faces or claim the objects entered the sea.
