Gesten, Ribe, Dk being encounter — November 20, 1957

Grocer Hans Haugaard Hansen reportedly encountered an unusual object while driving from Gesten toward Egholt in South Jutland. A detailed Danish account places the observation at about 4 p.m. on Thursday, 21 November 1957. Seeing something over a turnip field about 150–200 metres away, he initially thought it was a tractor with a transparent cabin. As he approached, Hansen interpreted it as a roughly three-metre-high pyramid made of semitransparent, glasslike material with a faint reddish-orange glow. Two ordinary human-looking men sat inside. He stopped with his engine idling and heard no sound from the object. It moved toward a low hill, appeared either to land or hover about a metre above it, remained briefly, then continued toward the bog and disappeared. His later search found no physical traces. The date varies: Hatch gives 20 November and Vallée's catalogue 22 November, while the local account identifies the 21st and cites subsequent newspaper and magazine coverage. Nearby Jordrup and Vorbasse reports involved different appearances and should not be merged into Hansen's craft. The reconstruction follows the pyramid description and human-looking seated occupants; a confirmed landing or extraterrestrial origin is not established.
