Case description
Workers at the port of Gdynia, Poland, reported a luminous object falling into a harbour basin in 1959. The imported catalogue uses February 21, but Polish newspaper-based histories place the incident on January 21, before dawn. The plate therefore identifies the year without concealing the dating conflict.
Accounts attributed to dockworkers describe a red or orange object, an unusual scraping sound, and a splash or steam above the water. The size and shape vary between retellings. Searches and claims about recovered metal became part of the story, but the available summaries do not provide a securely documented material chain from the water to a laboratory.
Later reports added a small humanoid found on a beach and transfer of remains to Moscow. Those additions are not equivalent to the original harbour observations and remain rumours within the source trail. The image depicts only the falling-light report. The linked Polish video concerns the same Gdynia story and uses the January dating, rather than independently documenting the later creature narrative.
