Colebrook, NH abduction report — March 19, 1959

Two men on the grounds of the Lady of Grace Monastery at Colebrook, New Hampshire, reported a descending object on March 19, 1959. They described a silvery oval or Saturn-like body, illuminated windows, colored lights around its rim and a humming sound. It approached and retreated before a gap in their recollection. The imported entry uses 1 a.m.; another published version gives 9 p.m. In later hypnotic recollections, one man described the object standing on three supports and both witnesses being taken aboard. Several occupants were reported, including a taller, humanlike leader. The account continued with examinations and a transfer to a larger craft, where other people were allegedly present. The Hatch digest also preserves a description of smaller occupants applying a food-like paste to their skin. The surviving summaries do not identify the witnesses or provide a detailed return sequence. Their initial observation and their later recollections belong to different stages of the account and are presented in that order.
