Marseilles abduction report — 1921
Marseilles, France
Open this case in the interactive AtlasCase description
A retrospective account places an alleged abduction in or near Marseille, France, in 1921. The event predates the modern flying-saucer era by more than two decades and survives in the Atlas through later catalogues rather than through a complete contemporary case file.
According to the catalogue tradition, a witness encountered unusual beings and an associated object before experiencing a claimed removal or transport. The surviving summary is too abbreviated to reconstruct a secure chronology of approach, entry, interior experience and return. It also does not preserve dependable descriptions of the occupants or craft.
Because the account was recorded retrospectively, the interval between the alleged event and its publication is an important limitation. No contemporaneous police report, medical record, photograph or physical trace is presently attached to the dossier. Later repetitions may reflect the same underlying story rather than independent corroboration.
CE4 is retained because abduction is the defining allegation in the catalogue. The portrait evokes Marseille in 1921 and keeps the luminous object and figures deliberately indistinct. It does not assert a precise vehicle design or alien type. This is an illustrative reconstruction of an uncertain historical report, not evidence.
