North / Bunnel, FL abduction report — September 1960

During September 1960, a married couple traveling north of Bunnell, Florida, reported a large, dark object in a field beside the road. A fuller version places the episode on September 3, around 10:30 p.m. The object's surface appeared covered with tiles, and the witnesses compared its size with a three-story building. They said it moved close to or above the road, while their car's engine and lights stopped working. Short figures in close-fitting clothing were reportedly visible. One member of the couple appeared dazed or entranced during the encounter. Their recollection included an interval they could not account for, summarized as approximately an hour in the early digest. The report does not supply a continuous remembered journey through that interval. The stopped car, nearby object and approaching figures form the sequence they described around the lapse in awareness.
