Near Tobolsk, Rs abduction report — August 1961

An August 1961 report catalogued near Tobolsk in Russia concerns an aircraft and seven men who were said to have disappeared. It presents the event as a missing-aircraft story that later acquired an unusual ending. The plane was reportedly located intact in a small clearing. Despite the recovery of the aircraft, all seven men were still missing. The brief entry does not explain how the plane had reached the clearing, whether it had landed normally, or what searchers found inside it. No occupants of an unidentified craft, observed transfer or account from the missing men appears in the preserved summary. The story ends with the contrast between the intact aircraft and the absence of its people. Hatch’s source trail cites Flying Saucer Review, December 1962. The entry gives no route, aircraft type or later resolution.
