Case description
The catalogue locates this incident at Wetaskiwin, Alberta, on August 8, 1961. John Brent Musgrave’s April 1977 APRO article describes an unnamed couple in a central Alberta farming community, using an account collected by investigator Bull Holt. At about 3:30 a.m., the husband awoke to two men, one at the head and one at the foot of the bed. He reported being unable to move, although he felt unusually calm.
The visitors were approximately four or five feet tall, beautifully proportioned, and wore soft, dark two-piece suits with belts. Their glass face helmets were pushed back behind their heads. One appeared older, with a receding hairline. They seemed to float rather than walk, conversed briefly, then vanished with a hissing sound. His wife subsequently said she had also seen them and been immobilized.
Separately, an eastern neighbour reported a brilliant bluish globe, at least 25 feet across, rising from in front of the house and accelerating northward. The article combines these bedroom and outdoor observations; it does not report the couple boarding the globe. Modern names and professional titles absent from this earlier account are omitted. The plate explicitly combines separate observations.
