Case description
A newspaper account published on 29 July 1962 described student Ricardo Mieres, seventeen, encountering an extraordinary figure near Bajada Grande, outside Paraná. It was very tall, with a watermelon-sized head, long nearly white hair and three unblinking eyes. Mieres reportedly tried to escape, but his engine stopped. The figure approached, pulled away his scarf and turned stiffly before walking off across sandy ground.
After restarting his vehicle, Mieres returned to Paraná and gathered friends to revisit the site. They reportedly found the scarf and footprints. Other people described a low-flying glow that disappeared rapidly, but that separate observation does not establish a craft beside the figure. La Razón’s translated account says Mieres drove a car; Gordon Creighton’s later summary says motorcycle. The latter likely helped produce the imported biker description.
Dates also differ: the early literature places the event on 27 or 28 July, while some later catalogues misdate it or alter the name and location. The accessible source comparison identifies a newspaper story rather than a documented technical investigation of the alleged tracks. No confinement or transport of Mieres is described. The plate preserves the distinctive three-eyed, long-haired appearance and labels the distant light as a separate report, without portraying a verified abduction or inventing a landed disc.
