Case description
Three fishermen in two boats reportedly encountered a strange vessel off Le Brusc on the Mediterranean coast during the night of August 1, 1962. The accounts give roughly 11–11:30 p.m., a calm sea and clear sky. They initially took the long metallic hull and its turret for a submarine at the surface, rather than recognizing a flying saucer.
About a dozen humanlike figures, described in French retellings as frogmen, reportedly came out of the water and climbed aboard. The fishermen called to them; the last figure raised an arm before entering the turret. The important sequence is boarding from the water, not twelve aliens emerging from a landed disc. After the figures were inside, the vessel allegedly rose silently above the sea, displayed lights and accelerated away into the sky.
The ledger cites the LDLN Contact Lecteurs collection, while later underwater-UFO surveys repeat the narrative with differences in lighting and altitude detail. None of the accessible versions identifies a recovered craft or establishes nonhuman anatomy. The plate therefore shows the fishermen, submarine-like vessel and humanlike divers during boarding. Their exact equipment and faces are interpretive. Some later web labels give 1968, but the account and imported record specify 1962.
