Southeast / Abra Grande, Arg being encounter — November 26, 1962

Francisco Salas and Néstor Arnardy reportedly encountered an unusual luminous figure while transporting coal from Abra Grande toward Clodomira, Santiago del Estero, on November 26, 1962. Héctor Anganuzzi’s fuller account identifies them as thirty-two and twenty-nine and describes an agricultural tractor towing a trailer. They had left around 1:00 a.m. to avoid the daytime heat. The Atlas compresses their vehicle into a coal truck. Along the parallel General Belgrano railway they noticed what looked like an illuminated wagon. A brilliant light came from that direction, and the tractor began lurching. A gigantic figure emitting green and reddish phosphorescent flashes appeared ahead. The men said it repeatedly rose into the air and settled farther along the road, apparently obstructing their progress. Anganuzzi includes unintelligible sounds with changing pitch, unlike the Atlas’s silent-robot shorthand. The alleged sequence lasted around an hour and ended near Clodomira’s lights when the figure rose away into the dark sky. The shaken men reportedly went to police, and a departmental inquiry was said to follow. The accessible account does not establish the rail object’s true identity or supply precise facial anatomy, a measured height or an authenticated physical trace. Describing the being as a robot is therefore a comparison, not a technical finding. The plate retains the tractor, trailer and ambiguous wagonlike light rather than inventing a separate saucer.
