Sauce Viejo, Arg being encounter — December 16, 1963

César Tulio Gallardo, a railway worker at Sauce Viejo in Santa Fe province, reportedly experienced an unusual visit while resting in a stationary coach on a siding. Gordon Creighton's account places it on an unspecified December night in 1963, and cites La Gaceta's December 17 coverage. Some catalogues instead give December 16,1965. The precise day and the source's year conflict should not be hidden. Gallardo said his radio failed and his carbide lamp went out while he was reading. After seeing strange lights outside, he returned and closed the door. A brilliantly luminous humanlike figure then entered from the other end of the coach. When Gallardo raised his newspaper to shield his eyes, the visitor reportedly took and tore it. Only dark, shiny clothing on its legs was clearly distinguishable. It poured oil from a can into a small bottle and left through the door. Passengers on an arriving train were subsequently said to have seen a luminous man along the tracks. That observation is separate from the alleged compartment encounter. No structured craft was reported, and the label oil sample describes an interpretation of the visitor's action.
