Case description
The Lynchburg account concerns an unnamed industrial worker who claimed to see two silent, unlit objects descend into woods. Its chronology is unsettled: the imported record uses January 23, 1964 and 5:40 p.m., while source comparisons connect it with a January 23, 1965 press report and a 5:40 a.m. observation at an otherwise unspecified date.
The objects were described as about six and twenty-four metres across. Three very small humanoids allegedly emerged from the smaller one and approached to roughly ten metres. The witness felt frozen and described unusual staring eyes and unintelligible sounds. The figures reportedly returned through an opening that closed without a visible seam. No dependable detailed clothing or facial description is supplied.
The case passed through Saucer News and the Lorenzens’ occupant literature, without a named witness or a verified underlying news-agency dispatch in the consulted comparison. The plate labels it an unverified press account and uses a predawn version of the scene. It preserves three small figures and two objects, with unresolved faces and a year-range caption rather than inventing a settled day or anatomy.
