Case description
Mrs Jubert and her three teenage daughters reportedly watched a bright object approach their farm near Custer on 12 January 1965. Initially she thought aircraft landing lights were coming toward the house and brought the girls outside. The lights blended into an intense round mass, which cleared evergreens and settled beyond them. A fuller account describes a slightly domed body about nine metres across, illuminating the snowy surroundings.
After several minutes the object rose rapidly and disappeared toward the northwest. The family later described melted snow, scorched ground and a line of oval impressions leading toward trees. These impressions were found afterward; no figure was reported walking across the field. Retellings disagree over the dimensions and handling of the circular trace: one gives a smaller scorched area, while another describes a roughly thirty-foot clearing and says it was subsequently ploughed.
The source trail includes Gilbert Bernier’s UFO-INFO report, Hynek and later trace catalogues. Claims about Blaine Air Force Base radar and radiation warnings are preserved in a later summary, which labels its evidence eyewitness testimony. They do not establish measured radiation or identify what made the marks. The imported figure code consequently remains provisional. The plate shows the four witnesses and luminous object, with no invented occupant inferred from the footprints.
