Manresa Beach, CA being encounter — January 30, 1965

At about two in the morning on January 30, 1965, radio and television repairman Sidney B. Padrick was walking near Manresa and La Selva beaches outside Watsonville, California. He reported hearing a growing hum and seeing a large disc descend toward the parking area. Frightened, he ran, then stopped when a voice from the object reassured him. Padrick said a square doorway opened and he stepped into a small, brilliantly illuminated compartment. Another door led to a room where a human-looking man introduced himself by a name variously rendered as Xeno or Zeno. Padrick described other occupants and a tour involving conversation about their world and activities. He said the encounter lasted about two hours and that he was returned near the place where it began. He later spoke publicly and was interviewed by UFO investigators and the Air Force. Descriptions of the craft give differing size estimates. Padrick presented the invitation, conversation and return as events he remembered consciously.
